With a projected open for the end of the year, our team is looking to hire a Director of Business Administration to support Human Resource and Accounting functions for the community.
As the Director of Business Administration you will report to the Executive Director and maintain a close relationship with corporate accounting and Human Resources as well as the Organizational Development teams.
The ideal candidate will have a background in HR and an understanding of NY state employment regulations, as well as knowledge and experience with business functions including accounts payables and receivables and payroll processing.
Employment Status:
Full-Time, Exempt
Salary:
$70,000 - $80,000
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday
Responsibilities of the Director of Business Administration include:
Acting as the initial point-of-contact for all HR and accounting related matters
Managing the recruitment process in your community, including updates in the ATS, outreach to and screening of candidates, and managing the offer and onboarding process
Interpreting policies and procedures and communicating them to all employees both proactively and in response to questions
Processing A/R and A/P timely
Processing monthly billing statements, answering related question from residents and families in a timely manner
Processing employee payroll and archiving and discarding payrolls at the end of each cycle
Analyzing variances in departmental payroll vs. budget
Gathering monthly accruals from department heads
Producing proposals and presentation packets
Requirements of the Director of Business Administration include:
2-year degree in a Business-related field; 4-year degree from an accredited university in a Business-related field preferred
Must have excellent organizational skills as well as effective written and verbal communication skills
Be knowledgeable in regards to ADP payroll systems and basic GL and Accounts Payable systems
3 years of business office experience with HR and accounting
Prior Human Resources experience and/or education
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems, a plus
