    Job DescriptionPosition Description:
    The Senior Systems Engineer III (Windows) is responsible for the deployment, management, and maintenance of Windows-based computer systems and applications that are critical to the department's operations. This position involves configuring, monitoring, and ensuring the security and efficiency of Windows servers and workstations. The engineer is responsible for installing and updating system software, managing system policies, and resolving technical issues. A key part of the role is to ensure that these systems comply with the stringent DoD security standards and protocols. The Senior Systems Engineer III also supports the integration of Windows systems with other hardware and software and may be involved in the design and testing of new system solutions. Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are important for this role.

    Requires Security Clearance: TS/SCI position. Personnel must possess a final DoD-granted TS with SCI eligibility.

    Certification: CSSP or CASP

    Education: High School diploma/GED

    Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of directly relevant experience.
      1. This experience must have been performed within the last eight years.
    • Demonstrated experience in technical and engineering support toward the design, development, installation, test, and operation of Microsoft Windows systems and services in an enterprise environment (accommodating up to 5,000 users) in accordance with DoD/USN/NRL security practices and reporting requirements.     • Demonstrated experience managing environments supporting workstations for up to 5,000 users utilizing industry-standard tools. Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK), User State Migration Tool (USMT), and other tools selected for use within the environment is required on both unclassified and classified networks.
    • Demonstrated experience in the design, installation, and deployment of a large-scale Microsoft cloud environment to include the architecture of a solution for identity management and connectivity across multiple Navy warfare centers. Experience with Microsoft cloud connectivity components, including Azure Active Directory Connect (AADC), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and their dependencies, is required.
    • Demonstrated experience in the configuration of systems and services to meet Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert Bulletin (IAVA/B) compliance requirements as well as all applicable Standard Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements and compliance with all Navy Communications Tasking Orders (CTO), Operations Orders (OPORD) and other Navy and/or DoD Directives as applicable to the subject SOW.
