- Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices; maintain accurate records & control reports
- Follow company procedures for compliance and internal controls; code and process invoices including: distinguishing appropriate accounting period, determining department and program allocation, ensure proper G/L account codes are used
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
- Create purchase orders for company contracts
- Work with other members of Finance team to ensure invoices and purchase orders are properly coded
- Managing ACH runs for weekly payments
- Purchase foreign currency for international wire payments; prepare weekly wire payments
- Manage annual Form 1099 process
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
- 5 to 8 years of professionally relevant experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in the biotech / life sciences industry
- Ability to work from the Company's Waltham, MA office minimum of 2 days per week
- Knowledge of Netsuite, Prendio/Bioprocure is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with focused attention to detail
- Proven ability to work independently to solve problems in an organized and thoughtful way
- Self-motivated, positive and collaborative team player both within Finance team and cross functionally across other company groups
- Handles sensitive financial information in the strictest of confidence as appropriate

Description
Q32 Bio is searching for an experienced professional to join our team as an Accounts Payable Accountant ("AP Accountant"). The AP Accountant will be responsible for managing all accounts payable and purchase order activity for the Company. This role can be performed over 24 to 32 hours per week within flexible hours, with the successful candidate able to be onsite in our Waltham office a minimum of 2 days per week.
The AP Accountant will report directly to the Senior Accountant.
