    SGL is looking for a motivated Inside Sales Specialist to join our Commercial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, fostering strong client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. The individual should have a solid background in BDM or Inside sales, a track record of meeting sales targets, and experience in Freight Forwarding operations.

    Job Description:

    • Report directly to the head of the local commercial department
    • Act as a liaison between commercial, sales, and operations departments
    • Establish and grow the office development pipeline and key accounts
    • Actively seek new business opportunities and pass on leads as needed
    • Increase revenue and maintain relationships with existing clients
    • Assist Sales team with pricing
    • Follow up on sales leads and track progress
    • Provide shipping solutions to clients and prospects
    • Handle quote requests and manage bids in response to RFQ
    • Generate and qualify leads for SGL offices
    • Develop and update customer database
    • Enhance customer relationships through regular communication
    • Provide guidance and support to customers
    • Assist operations team in negotiating rates with vendors and quoting customers
    • Stay informed about market trends and support colleagues
    • Contribute to local commercial strategies
    • Foster commercial awareness within the organization
    • Build and maintain relationships internally and externally
    • Document and report commercial efforts regularly
    • Monitor import/export shipments for potential opportunities
    • Assist with minor RFQs
    • Track and follow up on shipper's reports and customer volume trends

    Qualifications/Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Freight Forwarding
    • Background in BDM or Inside sales preferred
    • Strong commercial and customer service orientation
    • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
    • Charismatic and outgoing personality
    • Entrepreneurial mindset
    • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Familiarity with international shipping and trade regulations is a plus
    • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Good follow-up skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office & Excel
    • Willingness to travel as required

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000

    Work Location: On-site
