Veris Manufacturing (an Emerald Technologies company) has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join its Brea, CA team The Staff Accountant's core function is to perform transaction-level activities related to cash, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, and to assist the Site Controller in preparing periodic financial reporting

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

Assist in the month end / year end close to ensure timely issuance of the financial statements.
Assist in the monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
Manage the accounts receivable invoicing and posting to general ledger.
Initiate collections on past due invoices and resolve any issues.
Research and resolve account receivable discrepancies.
Process daily bank deposit and general ledger postings.
Work late last day of month (includes Sat or Sunday) and the next 5 business days to close the books when necessary

Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in accounting
Minimum two years accounting experience
Associate's Degree may be considered with commensurate long-term experience
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft word and Excel
Experience working in the accounting modules of M2M or other ERP system
