    The Hardware Synergy Engineering team plays a key role in the mission to protect our military personnel and is dedicated to consistently providing high quality Integrated Circuits to programs across the NG enterprise .

    Members of the Hardware Synergy Engineering team provide architecture, design, fabrication, and test support to IC products .

    Members of the Hardware Synergy Engineering team regularly interface with members of other teams, including, systems engineering, manufacturing and test, supply chain, program management, and external suppliers.


    Job Responsibilities:
    The Hardware Synergy Engineering manager will oversee a group of RF MMIC/IC design engineers.


    Responsibilities include leading, developing, and hiring engineering professionals, representing the organization to customers and stakeholders, overseeing project execution, allocating staffing across multiple programs, monitoring and improving design processes, coordinating proposal activity, and facilitating collaboration across organizations.

    This is a dual role with the expectation that the manager will fulfill management responsibilities in addition to a productive program assignment.


    The Hardware Synergy Engineering manager candidate will have relevant experience in one or more of the following disciplines: manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, integration & test, electrical engineering, or hardware engineering.


    The Hardware Synergy manager candidate will have demonstrated highly ethical behavior, and will have developed strong people leadership, project management, and communication skills.


    He or she will have demonstrated success in leading teams, overseeing project execution, and representing the organization as a prime point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers.


    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics and minimum 9 years relevant experience; or Master's Degree in Engineering or Physics with minimum 7 years relevant experience; or PhD in Engineering or Physics with minimum 4 years relevant experience

    Demonstrated success in leading, collaborating, and building teams on complex technical projects

    Demonstrated interest in process improvement initiatives

    Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors

    US Citizenship

    Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance or higher.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM degree

    Active DoD secret clearance or higher

    Working knowledge of IC Design Process

    Familiarity with Semiconductor Devices and Fabrication

    Familiarity with Basis of Estimate (BOE) process

    Experience with hiring to include conducting interviews


    This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance or the transferal of an active DoD Secret Clearance.

    This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

    Salary Range:
    $145,000 - $217,400


    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

    In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
