Premier full service direct mail and commercial offset printing facility in the Tallahassee area is searching to hire a Production Manager to oversee print manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and manage the
daily/weekly/monthly
goals for the production depts. to ensure that company meets weekly capacity and scheduling and delivery requirements.
Minimize costs wherever possible and ensure that Best Work Practices are maintained.
Scheduling to optimize personnel and machinery.
Continuously identify areas to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
Assist and train operators as needed.
Report regularly on production status to owner.
Communicate regularly with vendors.
Qualifications include:
Minimum of 5 years' production management experience in digital and offset printing.
Good technical knowledge of digital and offset printing, prepress, and binding operations.
Able to assist operators with equipment as needed; hands-on experience.
Scheduling experience.
Experience working with vendors.
Excellent communication skills engaging with hourly employees on a regular basis
Strong leadership, mentoring and employee training skills.
Excellent decision making abilities.
PC proficient.
Starting salary $60, ,000 + benefits, 401k and relocation assistance.
