    Overall role and responsibilities:

    Compliance and fieldwork coordination in collaboration with Dean's Office

  • Maintain a solid understanding of the CTC requirements and standards for proper delivery of the TED program at branch campuses
  • Monitor student compliance with state standards and requirements for MAT and preliminary teaching credentials
  • Manage fieldwork documentation, including liability insurance, placement, supervisor eligibility documentation to ensure compliance with state criteria and regulations and program policies
  • Monitor fieldwork hours for compliance with state and program requirements
  • Evaluate and select placements to ensure that CTC training standards and program requirements are being met for preliminary credential
  • Support students in securing fieldwork placements
  • Establish traineeship relationships and partnerships with schools in the area

    • Recruitment and retention of students in collaboration with the Dean's Office

  • Collaborate with branch campus staff in providing outreach and marketing activities to the local community for recruitment of diverse candidates into the program
  • Co-Lead information meetings and individual meetings with prospective applicants
  • Lead branch campus Open House
  • Co-manage an efficient admissions process that implements program admissions criteria, review of applications, individual interviews and admissions decisions based on program deadlines
  • Communicate with admitted applicants and communicate with admissions office

    • Program Management in Collaboration with the Dean's Office

  • Manage hiring of adjunct faculty for branch campuses
  • Assign adjunct faculty to teach specific courses relevant to their professional area and teaching performance effectiveness
  • Manage adjunct faculty hiring website, university onboarding procedures and conduct an on campus new hire orientation
  • Plan, develop, direct, and coordinate both the academic and operational activities of the program
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between branch staff, program faculty and students
  • Manage scheduling of classes, registration, data collection, maintenance of fieldwork information
  • Manage any student issues or concerns that arise at the branch campuses, with the Dean's office
  • Lead new student orientation for branch campuses
  • Serve as liaison between Hilltop and the branch campuses to verify consistent operation among campuses
  • Attend department meetings to implement consistent program policies and share relevant information with students and faculty at the branch campuses
  • Meet regularly with campus staff to improve program standards, recruitment and to address any concerns that arise
  • Coordinate student registration for classes during fall, spring and summer semesters w/ Dean's office and Hilltop staff
  • Create and maintain the course schedule for fall, spring and summer sessions for all cohorts in conjunction with Dean's office and staff

    • Qualifications

  • Proven alignment with USF's social justice mission
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Cleared Prelim teaching credential with at least 5 years teaching experience
  • Collaborative leadership experience
  • Higher education teaching experience
  • Experience with community engagement and management
  • Able to diplomatically facilitate and direct complex negotiations and influence senior level management
  • Experience leading large teams
  • Data oriented- able to synthesize, analyze and assess data for reporting; responsible for developing cross-functional plans and objectives
  • Results oriented- able to develop methods and techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an educational setting with faculty, administration, staff, students, and external agencies/organizations
  • Must be able to travel to off-campus sites
  • Must be able to stay overnight at some locations

    $75,968 - $100,000 annualized; commensurate with experience
