    Career Opportunity: Director of Programs at Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center

    The Director of Programs at the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center plays a vital role in overseeing the organization's diverse programs, fostering leadership development, and ensuring high-quality service delivery outcomes. As the Director, you will work closely with the Executive Director and the management team to align program strategies with BHNC's mission and vision of enhancing the social and economic fabric of the community.

    Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center (BHNC) is a longstanding non-profit agency dedicated to preserving and enriching the cultural and economic diversity of Bernal Heights and neighboring communities. Join us in promoting community action and fostering a more just and equitable society for all.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop program strategies that resonate with BHNC's mission
    • Lead program planning, development, and implementation efforts
    • Establish policies that adhere to BHNC's mission and meet compliance standards
    • Monitor program effectiveness and conduct assessments regularly
    • Implement an equity-focused approach to programming
    • Provide recommendations for program growth and development
    • Cultivate positive relationships with external agencies and community groups
    • Collaborate on grant writing, reporting, and program audits
    • Supervise program staff, budgets, and daily operations
    • Participate in community initiatives and events

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Strong program management experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
    • Leadership skills and ability to work in a diverse community setting
    • Prior experience in fund development and budget management

    Job Type: Full-time, exempt position

    Salary: Competitive salary, based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package offered.
