**Summary**
This position will assist the Consultant Strategic Projects & Partnerships in the development, implementation and execution of a strategic retail advertising and marketing plan. This individual is focused on identifying, developing, coordinating, and managing on-going marketing and promotional activities and assists retailers with marketing activities as requested. Provide backup support to all members of the Marketing Team when needed. Provide analytical support to Department and Division management as well as the retailers involved, on the performance of responsible programs as requested. Ensures all tasks are completed in accordance with stated deadlines and meet established expectations.
This position will interface with the team from DeJarnett as to the development of Our Family of Brands portfolio.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day management of marketing programs and projects. Work closely with cross-functional departments to insure appropriate implementation. Specific programs include: monthly events, holiday promotions and other special retail events.
Provide layout recommendations for events.
Writes reports, fliers, articles, news events, announcement sheets, enrollment sheets, correspondence, etc. to support Marketing directives.
Works in conjunction with the company Creative Services department in setting deadlines and job requests for promotional materials. Must have an understanding of the company creative/production process.
Meets as needed with the Creative Services staff. Confers with the Creative Services department for technical guidance and/or to coordinate production of graphic materials.
Meet as needed with the Retail Operations staff to communicate plans and objectives and deliver results of promotions.
Effective communication skills both oral and written
Responsibility for timely and effective customer response
Ongoing efforts around ideation and Imagineering as to the betterment of our department and our retailers
Responsibility as an ambassador for Associated Grocers Marketing Department and selling our ability and programs to potential retailers.
Coordinate, organize and oversee the plans and execution of the food show activities as it pertains to retailer, vendors and staff. This will also include vendor coordination for the events such as registration, timeline coordination, setup activities, etc.
Specifically responsible for the growth and continued success of Our Family of Brands as a point of differentiation for our retailers.
Plan and manage the retailer trip program.
Support and grow digital coupon and loyalty program by establishing a strategic launch calendar.
**Education and/or Experience**
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a relevant marketing field; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Computer Skills**
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Access database software; Excel spreadsheet software, Word (word-processing software), and PowerPoint.
**Other Skills and Abilities**
Ability to type 40 words per minute.
Exceptional organizational skills with special attention to detail.
Excellent communication, analytical and customer service skills.
Basic accounting/bookkeeping skills.
Ability to articulate and clearly communicate.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
