The Accounts Payable Specialist (AP Specialist) supports all accounts payable activities for the organization, ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, and maintains accurate records and control reports.

The AP Specialist maintains timely contact with employees, vendors, and clients and ensures compliance and accuracy with processes and policies.

Responsible for delivery of all AP function and interaction with other aspects of accounting such as the treasurer for cash flow and the controller for accurate general ledger posts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline AP processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and analyze AP reports to monitor spending and identify areas for cost savings.
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate favorable payment terms.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations related to AP functions.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required.
