    Our client is a successful chemical manufacturer who offers contract manufacturing, and the development of cleaning and sanitizing products to prevent illnesses and provide for safe, clean food for families across the nationTitle: Regulatory Compliance SpecialistLocation: Los Angeles County, California 90605Salary: $120, ,000Direct HireThe Regulatory Compliance Specialist assures, together with relevant functions, early and effective regulatory compliance assessments for new and existing ingredients and formulations leading to compliance by design of ingredients, labels, and communications.

    You will serve as a primary interface between the Company and regulatory authorities such as EPA, DTSC, CUPA, AQMD, County Sanitation, Local Fire Department, Stormwater, OSHA, Cal-OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, US Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, Homeland Security, Department of Justice, DOT, CHP, REACH, TSCA, CARB.


    Functions Managed by this Position:
    Government Compliance, Reporting; Product Regulatory ManagementLabel Compliance, Reporting &; FDA/EPA ManagementProduct Compliance, Reporting; Hazard ManagementRegulatory inspections and findings/corrective actionsSDS authoring, Formulation assessment and Label ReviewEnvironmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability responsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities and Duties:Product Compliance, Reporting to RegulatoryResponsible for Compliance including Practices, Licensing, Reporting, Audits, Inspections for the following

    Regulatory Agencies:

    FDA, EPA, 21CFR210 and 21CFR211, OSHA, DOT, AQMD, REACH, EPA, TSCA, CARB, EPA, DTSC, CUPA, AQMD, TRI, County Sanitation, Local Fire Department, Stormwater, CHPTours the Facility Taking Corrective and Preventive Actions as NeededVerification of compliance to regulatory standards for all products, including supplied productsManages Outsourced Testing and Inspections for regulatory complianceVerification of compliance to regional regulatory standards for new/existing materials, labels, packaging requirementsLiaison with formulations review and approval with regulations for FDA, EPA etcSupporting by providing basic regulatory compliance guidance related to product labeling and safety data sheetsAuthoring, revisions, guidance on product formulations and safety data sheets for company productsAssist with training initiatives that inform stakeholders about compliance requirementsEnsures all active ingredients are reported, procured, stored and handled in complianceLabel Review for regulated productsMaintains, prepares, and ensure compliance for SDS and related DOT regulatory documentationEnsures Facility Complies and Submits Required Reports including SARA 313, Risk ManagementMaintains Employee-Accessible Database of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) on Products and Inventoried Raw MaterialsEnsures Company Policies and Practices of Occupational Hazard Prevention Programs such as LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, etc.
