**About the role**
We are looking for a Capex Sourcing Specialist to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategy and manage value delivery within the Capex services category.
This role is a great opportunity to advance your career in the procurement field with a world-class organization. Working and reporting to the Procurement Business Partner- Metals , you will:
Create and implement strategic sourcing strategy for Kennecotts Capex to drive cash generation initiatives
Engage with projects, engineering and operations managers to understand and develop a Capex procurement plan.
Establish recurring meetings with relevant stakeholders to gather key data and update the Capex plan.
Engage relevant category managers to collaborate on the procurement bundling strategy for Capex plan.
Work with multiple project managers to obtain scopes and connect project managers with category managers.
Identify and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and manage Capex.
Negotiate, develop, implement, amend and monitor Capex supplier contracts.
Prepare bid packages, evaluate bid proposals, perform commercial analysis and create detailed recommendations to award for undefined Capex categories.
Update business partners on Capex projects to ensure they are informed for monthly executive committee meeting.
Train project managers on procurement process (Bidding, sole source, scopes, supply orders and purchase orders.
Analyze contracts and identify opportunities to improve/ leverage total cost of ownership.
Engage, coordinate and challenge a variety of stakeholders to assess business requirements and develop pipeline of value generating projects.
Identify routine jobs and tasks for onsite services suppliers and provide detailed plan to bundle and deliver savings.
Review overtime, offsite time and other related labor costs and identify cost savings opportunities.
**About you**
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Bachelors in related field preferred or 5-10 years procurement experience.
Strong and proven procurement negotiation abilities.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Ariba and SAP experience.
Contract performance management, analytical and problem solving skills.
The ability to drive zero harm safety into the contract and procurement processes.
Develop and execute category management strategies and plans.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Multitasking, self-starter and team player with a positive attitude.
