    Description

    Niantic is seeking a dynamic Commercial Counsel to join the Niantic Legal team. We collaborate with teams across the company to address legal challenges and opportunities related to our ongoing development of innovative augmented reality experiences and platforms.

    • Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements, ensuring alignment with Niantic's policies and risk parameters.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to optimize business partnerships and ensure agreement consistency with corporate policies.
    • Contribute to the improvement of standard forms, legal processes, and systems design.
    • Think creatively about legal issues emerging from AR and location-based games.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, participate in meetings, and maintain regular attendance.
    • Qualifications include 5+ years of legal experience, negotiation skills, client service orientation, and membership in the California Bar or eligibility as Registered In-House Counsel.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress with flexibility.
    • Experience in effective written and verbal communication within cross-functional teams.

    The total compensation package for this role includes a base salary range of $196,200 - $218,000, with the opportunity for bonuses, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors like location, skills, experience, and education.
