- Preferred early childhood teaching experience.

- Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.
- Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
- Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on high quality child care standards and procedures.
- Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center's policies.
- Manage and oversee the budget and accounts and ensure that the center remains profitable.
- Develop and facilitate a marketing and communications plan.
- Model and hold adults accountable for excellence.
- Model professionalism at all times and set staff expectations around professionalism.
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary:
West Grand School District 1-Jt is looking for a caring and dedicated Child Care Director. Our child care director will be responsible for overseeing a childcare facility to ensure that children have a safe and fun environment to learn, grow and socialize with others. Their duties include hiring qualified child care staff, setting budgets for equipment, learning supplies and supplies and proactively communicating with parents to accommodate their child's needs.
