- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sponsorship revenue goals
- Identify and prioritize potential sponsors based on their fit with the organization's goals and target audience
- Research and analyze market trends and competitor activity to ensure the organization stays ahead of the curve
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors by providing excellent customer service and communication
- Create custom sponsorship proposals and presentations that are tailored to the sponsor's needs and interests
- Negotiate sponsorship contracts and ensure all terms are clearly defined and agreed upon by both parties
- Manage sponsorship activation and fulfillment, working closely with other departments to ensure all sponsor obligations are met
- Track sponsorship revenue and expenses, providing regular reports to management
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging trends in sponsorship sales and marketing
- Minimum 3 years experience in outside sales
- Local Santa Barbara resident
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Expert in cold calling, identifying the decision maker, setting appointments and closing the sale.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets
- Ability to pitch and close deals effectively
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
- Strong network and relationships with potential sponsors
- Adept in sales pipeline management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in contract negotiation and renewal
- Analytical mindset for identifying sponsor needs and ROI
