    Position: Global Patient Services Coordinator
    Location: New York, NY

    Shift:

    9:00 am - 5:00 pm (includes a 30-minute break)

    Job Summary:

    The Global Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive case coordination and medical interpretation services for Arabic-speaking patients. This role ensures patients receive the highest standard of care and support throughout their medical journey at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center and its affiliated clinics.

    Essential Job Functions:
    1. Case Coordination:
      • Manage and coordinate all aspects of patient care for Arabic-speaking patients, including scheduling appointments, arranging consultations, and facilitating follow-ups.
      • Serve as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
    2. Medical Interpretation:
      • Provide accurate and timely medical interpretation services (Arabic/English) during patient consultations, treatment discussions, and other medical interactions.
      • Ensure clear and effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.
    3. Patient Support:
      • Assist patients and their families in understanding medical procedures, treatments, and care plans.
      • Offer emotional and logistical support, addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the patient's stay.
    4. Documentation and Reporting:
      • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient interactions and care coordination activities.
      • Prepare reports as required by the department.
    5. Compliance and Standards:
      • Adhere to all NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center policies, procedures, and standards of behavior.
      • Ensure compliance with medical interpretation and patient care regulations.
    6. Additional Duties:
      • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the department.
    Required Skills & Experience:
    • Bilingual Proficiency:
      • Fluent in English and Arabic, with the ability to provide medical interpretation.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a healthcare setting.
      • Medical interpretation certification in Arabic.
    • Interpersonal Skills:
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
    • Organizational Skills:
      • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
