Description
Location: **Montgomery, Alabama** * Coordinate and lead project activities and detailed confirmations of new manufacturing processes
Coordinate launch schedules and report progress and issues to senior management
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts to promote efficient utilization.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Continually review technical developments of weld processes and propose new technology projects as appropriate
Provide technical direction/assistance to identify, troubleshoot problems, purpose countermeasures/solutions and resolve issues.
Supporting the launch of the new vehicle during the initial production stage.
FMEA development and implementation.
Develop and mentor engineering talent.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with Team Members and management, improving maintenance/production interaction.
Ensure Team Member compliance with HMMA policies and procedures
Meet all other requirements as assigned.
**Position Summary:**
Responsible for leading and managing team of engineers for new vehicle tooling launch as well as improvement of current production processes. Interact and coordinate within a cross functional environment including other departments, support, and control groups.
**Essential Functions:**
**Education:**
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering preferred.
**Related Experience:**
1 - 5 years of job related experience preferred.
Preferred experience with various manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, welding, brazing, and hemming.
**Skill / Knowledge:**
MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Proficiency in CAD modeling.
CATIA V5/V6 experience a plus.
**Additional Information:** Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
