- Lead and manage internal communications strategies to enhance employee engagement and alignment with the brand's mission and values.
- Unique opportunity to develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications plan, including messaging, channels and tactics, to ensure consistent and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal communications, liaising with department heads, managers, and frontline staff to gather input, share updates and address concerns.
- Create and distribute internal communications materials, such as newsletters, memos and announcements, to keep employees informed about company news, initiatives and events.
- Support with organization and facilitation of internal events, meetings and training sessions to foster a sense of community and teamwork among employees - and of course lead communications for these events.
- Collaborate with HR to develop and implement employee communication programs, including onboarding materials, performance reviews and recognition initiatives.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications efforts, soliciting feedback from employees and using data analytics to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that internal communications align with brand guidelines and values, maintaining a consistent tone and voice across all internal communication channels.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in internal communications, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and enhance the employee experience.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or related field.
- 7+ years' work experience including as a leader in communications.
- Experience in the fitness industry and/or a strong interest in health and fitness.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under multiple tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while following direction as needed, and can manage projects from inception to completion, providing updates to upper management and stakeholders.
- Experience regularly working and interacting with multiple Team Members, upper management, vendors and partners in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Driven, self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office skills, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Great sense of humor, upbeat attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills.
