    SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

    Engineering Consulting company is a leading provider of water resource engineering and environmental science services, is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates senior project manager for a full-time position at our Lakewood, Colorado, location. Offers the benefits of a small company yet provides a diverse range of technical services allowing our team members to be involved in a wide range of projects. This position is ideal for a person who enjoys a mix of office work and field time.

Unlike many firms where senior level employees are expected to spend much of their time on business development, our lasting relationships are such that you will be able to focus your attention on project work and technical tasks.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelors degree (minimum) in the field of civil engineering, construction management or a closely related field.
    • Professional engineer license preferred.
    • 10+ years of progressive experience.
    • Project management and staff coordination skills necessary.
    • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
    • Plan review experience.
    • Strong field/construction background essential.
    • Working knowledge of geotechnical engineering and/or hydraulic gate systems preferred.
    • Strong computer literacy skills.
    • Ability to complete projects both independently and leading a team that includes outside consultants.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide engineering/construction expertise, technical oversight and overall management of water storage reservoirs and conveyance facilities related to supply.
    • Prepare and review design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
    • Manage client relationships.
    • Perform project management activities including planning and delegating work, managing project budgets, invoicing, communicating resource needs and reporting backlog.
    • Supervise construction related engineering services.
    • Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
    • Work both in office and at local project sites.
    • Manage projects, staff, budgets, schedules and clients.
    • Prepare reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for project.
    • Review design plans and specifications.
