    Description

    Role:
    Lab Application IT Analyst (Orchard Harvest a MUST)
    Location: 225 39th Avenue, San Mateo (25% remote) or SFO Hospital

    Duration: 12 months

    Orchard Harvest experience is a Must
    Application Support-based working experience


    Summary:


    The analyst will maintain, modify, and administer complex application systems, acting as a bridge between users, IT staff, and vendors.

    They'll provide technical support and training, ensure system security, and manage databases. Additionally, they'll

    develop procedures, training materials, and reports.


    This role will specifically support the migration of Public Health, Policy, and Planning's lab system from Orchard Harvest LMS to Epic's Beaker LMS.


    Responsibilities:
    Perform complex technical maintenance, operational duties, and modifications of application systems.
    Act as a liaison between system users, IT staff, vendors, and service providers.
    Provide technical support and training to system users.
    Conduct system administration to ensure security and effective operation.
    Develop and maintain automated files, records, and databases.
    Prepare and distribute procedures, training materials, and reports.

    Support the migration of Public Health, Policy, and Planning's public lab from Orchard Harvest LMS to Epic's Beaker LMS system.


    Requirements:
    3-4 years of experience supporting Laboratory Management System (LMS) Harvest Orchard.
    Minimum 3 years of experience in system analysis, software configuration, or development .
    Strong knowledge of business process analysis and software design.
    Project management experience.
    Experience supporting health-wide systems or electronic health records.


    Qualifications:
    Understanding of relational database management and systems integration.
    Proficiency in project management principles.
    Knowledge of contract and vendor relationship management.
    Familiarity with department and County systems and policies.


    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    Ability to analyze user needs and recommend technical solutions.
    Skill in providing technical and analytical support.
    Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
    Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
    Ability to research and recommend technical improvements.
    Experience leading focus groups or working sessions for process improvement.
