Job Summary:


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Provides support to the Pharmacy Project Manager.
  • Supports all database related activities required to support inpatient PIMS, outpatient PIMS, Call Center, and/or Central Refill/Mail Order Pharmacy.
  • Supports PIMS and other software releases in all software testing phases.
  • Implements systems and system changes as required.
  • Makes online adjustments to the database to update all aspects of drug records.
  • Ensures the integrity of all databases, including PIMS, Call Center, and Central Refill/Mail Order Pharmacy.
  • Creates and updates drug records specific to Kaiser, including pricing updates, physician files, medication additions and clinical updates.
  • Provides database support for other pharmacy systems linked to PIMS, such as automated dispensing systems (Inpatient or Outpatient functions).
  • Provides support for system users within guidelines set up by the PIMS database manager; Rotates oncall activities.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working with diverse groups, including professionals (Nursing, MDs, Pharmacists) and nonprofessional staff.
  • OR
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience and Completion of PGY 1 residency prior to start.
  • OR
  • Completion of PGY 1 and PGY 2 residencies prior to start.
Education

  • Pharmacy degree required.
License, Certification, Registration

  • Pharmacist License (California)

Additional Requirements:


  • Expertise in data processing, Call Center and/or robotics operations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and written skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on or coordinate concurrent multiple projects.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills, the ability to build consensus and bring diverse team members together to perform are essential to this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, exercise judgment and initiative in resolving issues.
  • Skilled in managing change.
  • Customer focused.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in an inpatient or an outpatient Kaiser pharmacy or equivalent strongly preferred.
