    This is an hybrid-based role in our Dallas, TX location.


    As an Account Specialist Manager, you will report to the regional Client Service Delivery Leader, with a dotted line to the AE Leader.

    What the day will look like

    You are responsible for leading talent development for the Account Specialist population. Through leadership, role modeling, coaching mentoring, training, and engagement, drive individual goal achievement by AS team members.

    An example of your day-to-day may be:
    70% or more leading AS population including efforts to standardize work, ensure activities are performed by the right group and handle capacity across the team

    Up to 30% for Account Management work

    Up to 10% supporting collaborating with AE Leaders

    Leads efforts for AS staff to achieve and sustain effective alignment with the Aon Leadership Model and its pillars of Client Value, Unmatched Teams, Innovation, Results and Values.

    Collaborates with AS Staff and Account Management team to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations within the team.


    Manage and operationalize Account Portfolio and clearly identifies individual AS account load metrics, including number of accounts, complexity of accounts, and inception dates.

    Objective is to enable the continued improvement of operational efficiency of the AS portfolio to maximize the impact of our highly functional office team, and to enable effective onboarding and handling of net new clients and expanded relationships with existing clients.

    Monitors assigned AS's clients' satisfaction, including both internal and external clients.

    Monitors performance and suggests changes in AS assignments and the composition of service teams as appropriate working closely with the AE Leader and CSDL

    Works with CSDL and AE Leader on succession planning for key clients, and AS recruiting and talent pipeline. Collect meaningful multi-rater feedback for use in the performance management process.

    Swiftly manages any instances of underperformance within the AS team and to advocate for those Account Specialists looking for AE opportunities.

    Works with the CSDL on region and national client service delivery initiatives to ensure efficiency and create best practices.


    Educates assigned AS's by putting in place training plans in client management, risk management, insurer interface and Aon resources and processes.

    Ensures tools are understood and used (including, but not limited to Broker Desktop (PITD and invoice eDelivery), Bridge, RiskView, Delivering Aon United, Aon Avenue, Articulating Aon's Value, Time Tracking, Jeopardy Reporting, AonLine and Client Service Access

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    The ideal candidate has several years of proven experience within the Aon Account Management practice, or similar experience.


    This candidate has experience with monitoring and increasing colleague engagement on the team, including effective utilization of Smart Working strategies to build team culture and collaboration.

    Experience with succession planning for key clients, AS recruiting and talent pipeline. Collecting meaningful feedback for use in the performance management process.

    Experience monitoring clients' satisfaction, including both internal and external clients.


    Education:
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

    Brokers license preferred, or to be acquired within 90 days of start date

    The target salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,600 annually.

    The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

    The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.


    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual bonus in addition to base salary.

    The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
