    Education and

    Experience:

    Preferred . Possess a master's degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of behavioral or social sciences, social work, childhood education, or business or public administration or a related field AND two (2) years of paid work experience in the field of social services or human service delivery and at least one of which as been in administrative or supervisory capacity OR

    a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the same areas of study and four (4) years of paid work experience in a human services delivery capacity or a related field and at least two of which have been in administrative or supervisory capacity OR


    a licensed registered nurse, doctor or other health care professional where the child-caring institution chooses to serve primarily children with special medical needs.


    Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and GSuite, Microsoft Office


    Experience with Network Ninja or similar software preferred


    Never have been shown by credible evidence (e.g., a court or jury, a department investigation, or other reliable evidence) to have abused, neglected, stalked, sexually exploited, or deprived a child or adult or to have subjected any person to serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly negligent misconduct as evidenced by an oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time of application and evidence of having made efforts to obtain and evaluate references from previous employers


    Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person's capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person's suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations


    Minimum five years of experience in the field of social services specifically working with children in a residential setting


    Minimum three years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity


    Experience providing services to youth or young adults, specifically those who are survivors of complex trauma


    Working knowledge of DFCS RBWO state licensure requirements for childcare programs preferred


    Willingness to pursue and participate in continuing education to stay up to date on best practices and regulatory compliance requirements


    Must have residential management experience and an understanding of state policies;


    Position Summary:
    The Program Director provides leadership, oversight, and supervision of the staff, volunteers, participants, and facility for the program.

    This position is responsible for high quality Maximum Watchful Oversight (MWO) program design, implementation, and results to meet organizational goals and individual participant goals, so that participants may benefit from all services provided including therapy, medical care, education, and life skills training.


    Vision and Mission:

    Own and develop the clinical and operational vision for all program services


    Develop the organizational continuum of care in partnership with Senior Leadership and Clinical Team

    Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):


    Build and maintain a healthy, trusting, cohesive team that works together well to accomplish the mission of the program


    Provide reliable, effective leadership, supervision, and management for program staff, including weekly staff meetings, regular staff evaluations, assessment for training needs, and coordination of annual training


    Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders, both internal and external


    Be responsible for the staffing of direct care staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, discipline and termination in collaboration with the Executive leadership team


    Serve as a therapist as needed for participants


    Ensure the quality development of individual service plans by the Human Service Professional


    Create and maintain staff and program schedules


    Be responsible for regular on-call duties


    Lead clinical meetings and supervise Electronic Health Records (EHR)


    Maintain compliance with program budget


    Ensure the implementation of program policies and procedures are routinely followed, including but not limited to:

    ○ 15 minute bed checks

    ○ record keeping

    ○ intake procedures

    ○ health and safety

    ○ clinical services

    ○ educational plans and progress

    ○ training

    ○ emergency preparedness


    Be responsible for monitoring all facets of vehicle maintenance, upkeep and use


    Positively represent Micah's Promise in a variety of arenas including in the area of community relations which may include communication with schools, medical personnel, employment resources, community presentations and/or speaking engagements, state agencies


    Serve as a resource for the Development Director, especially in the grant writing process, as needed


    Responsible for all aspects of licensing compliance, including health and safety regulations, monitoring maintenance needs of the facility and equipment assigned to the facility, and ensuring that all paperwork and records regarding personnel are on-site and comply with licensing requirements, in addition to case files.


    Program Structure:

    Supervise all program operations including but not limited to programming, performance, industry compliance/licensure regulations, and staff hire contributions


    Assume lead responsibility in achieving OPM approval and licensure, maintaining compliance with OPM, RCCL, DFCS, DJJ, and DMST quality standards and guidelines; submit written reports and maintain KPIs as requested for each respective agency


    Responsible and accountable for tracking and reporting quality metrics and key performance indicators as indicated by executive leadership


    Responsible for designing corrective measure protocol in response to deficits in quality metrics and KPIs


    Define, implement, evaluate, and refine program curriculum, policies, and procedures; revise and implement change management as needed


    Utilize a strength-based, trauma-informed approach as the key pillar to the program


    Provide care to program participants without regard to race, gender, ethnicity, religious or spiritual beliefs


    Provide culturally competent care for participants wondering about their sexuality or gender identity, including those who may identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender-variant, or those who have questions


    Healthy Living:

    Develop intentional connections with the program participants and staff members


    Cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect through words and behaviors


    Provide direction and encouragement to program participants and staff


    Model healthy boundaries and strengths-based consequences


    Provide support and crisis intervention as needed


    Embody the spirit of a lifelong learner


    Position Requirements:

    Minimal local travel required related to participant and program needs, as well as occasional travel for training


    Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds, work for long periods at a computer, and drive company vehicle as needed


    Ability to administer physical restraints as governed by program policies


    Satisfactory criminal background and fingerprint records check, as required by law


    Clean Motor Vehicle Record


    Documentation from a licensed physician or other licensed healthcare professional of a health screening examination within 30 days of hiring sufficient in scope to identify conditions that may place residents at risk of infection, injury or improper care


    Completion of a biennial training program in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a triennial training program in first aid which have been offered by a certified or licensed healthcare professional within the first 30 days of employment


    Participation in all required trainings required by licensure and organization
