    Description

    We are looking for a Data Tech Lead for a remote contract opportunity at an enterprise grocery store chain.

    The Data Tech Lead will support the End to End Fresh Cold Chain Data Team, focusing on perishable products including produce, meat, seafood, and dairy.

    The role involves managing Cold Chain data encompassing temperature sensors, purchase orders, warehousing, transportation routing, and location to enhance food freshness in stores.

    The data journey enables insights for improvement, operational targeting, and real-time event participation.

    • Analytics identifies issues like high temperatures affecting strawberries during transit.
    • Reports aid operations in investigating and implementing solutions such as temperature checks.
    • Real-time data alerts transportation/stores of issues, enabling proactive actions like redirecting trucks, ensuring fresher products in-store.

    The team includes a Product Manager, with support from a Scrum Master, Solution Architect, and Data Architect.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • General knowledge of data principles, patterns, processes, and practices
    • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
    • Python expertise
    • Databricks familiarity
    • Understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer
    • Attention to detail ensuring data accuracy and quality
