    Position OverviewThe Navistar San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading-edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of today's - and tomorrow's - customers.

    By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, Navistar takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact.

    This facility has the flexibility to build Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow Navistar to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth.

    Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, Navistar's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.

    We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our team at this facility. This role will report to the Sr. Supply Chain. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the work distribution and project coordination across supervisors and their hourly team members. The position is responsible for facets of material handling, kiting process and conveyance. ResponsibilitiesManage business unit supervisors responsible for material flow throughout the factory.
    Support production operations to ensure all material requirements are lineside at the time needed. Lead efforts to improve efficiency and quality of material control and delivery. Manage kitting process.

    Drive efforts to improve key KPIs including labor efficiency, inventory accuracy and availability of material at lineside These teams work across multiple shifts, ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there, on the line.

    Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, focus on JIT deliverables and an on-going focus on reducing process waste.
    Manage introduction of new product to ensure systems are ready to receive and deliver to appropriate work stations.

    Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, corporate functions and work with cross-functional teamsFlexibility to work in a multi-shift environment Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degreeAt least 8 years of materials management experienceAt least 2 years of management experienceORMaster's degreeAt least 6 years of materials management experienceAt least 2 years of management experienceORAt least 10 years of materials management experienceAt least 2 years of management experience Additional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.

    Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired SkillsPrevious automotive, materials, supply chain and operational experience, heavy truck experience preferred Experience in kitting process and conveyanceExperience in lean manufacturing with a focus on continuous improvementStrong delegation skillsExcellent customer focus (internal, external, colleagues, direct reports etc.)Must be flexible, able to adapt to constantly changing circumstancesMust have upward management and communication skillsExperience with WMS (warehouse management systems)Knowledge and experience with MRP, EDI, production systems, material planning, purchasing, material handling, inventory, audit, etc.
