**Description**
Mark Anthony Services is hiring an **Application Support Specialist** responsible for supporting US business teams with their use of custom IT applications and reporting. The Application Support Specialist will draw upon problem solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot application systems that are essential to daily operations. This role will track and collaborate on issues with the corporate IT group in Canada.
**As an Application Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:**
**Support**
First line of support for 20+ deployed custom applications for the US Commercial business
Administer application service desk tickets within a defined SLA
Test and solve reported issues, documenting steps taken and resolution details
Verify resolution with end-users and resolve assigned tickets
Develop subject matter expertise and deep business understanding of supported applications
**Documentation**
Create user documentation and training materials for custom applications
Build and maintain application service deck knowledge base
Detail bugs for developers in JIRA or similar ticketing system
**Testing**
Test, confirm and document details of reported issues prior to engaging IT group on correction
Test systems enhancements and fixes developed by the IT group prior to live deployment
Create and implement end to end test plans, communicating any failed cases to IT group
**Business/IT Liaison**
Communicate systems functionality in a matter appropriate to the target audience, including end users, business leaders and corporate IT
Cultivate trust-based relationships with US business groups and corporate IT teams
Monitor the status of outstanding application bugs, providing end users with timely updates
Evaluate risk and escalate time sensitive issues as necessary for rapid resolution
**Qualified candidates will have:**
Bachelor's Degree in a business or technology related field
3 -5 years experience in a technical customer support or client facing role
Previous experience using Service Now or JIRA, preferred but not required
Previous exposure to sophisticated web applications, integrated systems and reporting, preferred but not required
Favorable consideration for CPG, Beverage, or other consumer Sales/Marketing experience

Strong written, verbal and visual communication
Well-organized with attention to detail
Self-starter with confidence to drive issues through to resolution in a fast-paced environment
Highly comfortable with business level mathematical operations and concepts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Familiarity collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
Comfort working with business users at all levels
Ability to train or instruct in a group setting
