Overview:


The Material Handler ensures that product is moved from manufacturing cells and put away in the correct location in an organized and safe manner.

Supplies manufacturing cells with the correct packaging, components, and WIP parts as specified per the customer requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • Obtain production or shipping schedule at beginning of shift.
  • Communicate with driver from prior shift of any changes or updates in the area.
  • Inspection of Hilo. Fill out inspection sheet daily.
  • Ensure the cells in your area have required components, packaging, and are set up to blue book specifications for the specific part being ran.
  • Review(scan) each shipment for accuracy.
  • Supply skids, layer boards or lids according to packing specifications.
  • Unload empties from trucks/load finished goods.
  • Move finished product to warehouse.
  • Maintain finished product in warehouse.
  • Maintain clean an organized work area.
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year operating Hilo
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic Mathematics
  • Ability to operate Hilo
  • Hold valid drivers license
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Hilo work experience
