The Business Development Manager is a full-time position at our Carlsbad Headquarters near San Diego with significant growth potential. You will be working with a dedicated sales team and a group of experienced optical

engineers/scientists

to enable new, exciting imaging applications in the high-growth areas of driverless cars, automotive ADAS, VR/AR, robotic visions, and medical devices.

Responsibilities:
Work with partners and customers to identify and close major business opportunities in assigned market segments.

Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, market trends, prospect needs, and generate product development ideas.

Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company`s ambitious growth.

Planning and executing the implementation of business plans and the penetration of the assigned markets and customers.

Participate in trade shows and conferences to network with thought-leaders, influencers, and generate new sales leads.

Be a liaison between customers and our manufacturing operations in China

Requirements:
The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

BS or MS degree in optics, EE, or physics

At least 5 years of successful sales experience and general knowledge of digital imaging systems

Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business

A willingness to take on new challenges and to grow with the company.
