Description

Under the supervision of the Training Officer (Staff Services Manager I), the incumbent is responsible for a variety of analytical and program support functions related to the delivery and administration of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) training activities.

This includes assisting in the administration of the learning management system; tracking employee compliance with training mandates; developing and administering training-related contracts; and developing and delivering training.

The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927.

DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.

Desirable Qualifications
Experience planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating employee training programs.

  • Ability to administer training records and related reporting for an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in principles and methods of employee training; training resource development, and training delivery including related materials/equipment and training records administration.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of the contract development and administration processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience working with relational databases and developing reports.
  • Ability to express ideas, facts, and information orally and in written or visual form in a clear, accurate, and organized manner.
