Working Conditions
- The duties of this job are performed indoors most of the time. The employee works in the Oakland Office, DWC Headquarter, located at 1515 Clay Street, Oakland, CA The employee's cubicle is equipped with standard office equipment. Attend meetings in designated rooms and be willing to travel for offsite meeting/trainings, work in a team environment and independently.

Desirable Qualifications
Excellent writing skills to prepare comprehensive reports and summaries.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to: Interpret, analyze, and summarize medical reports, fact situations, and workers' compensation laws and rules; determine the significance of injury relative to occupational demands, make recommendations and mathematical calculations relative to the extent of temporary and permanent disability and the Disability Rating Schedule; make preadjudication recommendations for settlement; investigative, mediate, and conciliate claims and disputed issues; testify on direct and cross examination on the witness stand; prepare clear, complete, concise reports; communicate effectively; maintain cooperative relationships with those persons contacted in the course of work.
