    Description
    Alaant Workforce Solutions is recruiting a Risk Management Consultant for our client's growing organization located in Albany, NY.

    As a Risk Management Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing the assigned municipal entities within your designated territory. You will assist in educating the various entities to decrease claim frequency and severity.

    You will assist in evaluating work environments, analyzing workers compensation claim data, aiding with training, written programs, and safety committee formation, and developing and implementing effective procedures.


    Hours and Benefits for the

    Risk Management Consultant:
    Monday – Friday 35-hour work week
    The salary is between $75,000 - $80,000.
    Tremendous benefits package

    Responsibilities for the

    Risk Management Consultant:

    You will work closely with various departments to provide a complete and detailed analysis and resources to municipal member organizations.

    Responsible for scheduling and tracking of site inspections and ergonomic assessments.
    You will be responsible for conducting pre-inspection claim analysis to help drive targeted risk management efforts.

    You will be responsible for recommending and promoting additional risk management resources, training, and overall suggestions at the member level while conducting site visits.

    Provide written policy assistance, adhering to regulations and promoting best practices.

    Produce detailed written evaluations of site inspections and ergonomic assessments, including photos when applicable, in a timely and detailed manner.

    Utilize detailed claim analysis and specialist resources to enhance member interactions.
    Assist with and attend member safety committee meetings and other meetings as requested.
    Utilize the software program to update all member interactions and notes.
    Stay updated on all PESH regulations.

    Requirements for the

    Risk Management Consultant:
    Bachelor's degree required.
    OSHA experience is required.
    2+ years of experience working with municipal population preferred.
    Experience conducting safety and ergonomic training.
    Experience working with workers compensation or similar insurance is preferred.
    Must be able to travel within NYS territory.
    Must be a New York State resident and hold a valid driving license.
