TekPro Support Services (TSS) Logistics Management Specialist Opportunity

TekPro Support Services (TSS) is currently looking for dedicated Logistics Management Specialists. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the movement and distribution of goods and materials to ensure timely deliveries to customers. Working closely with logistics personnel, vendors, and customers, you will ensure all logistics processes run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities of the Logistics Management Specialist include, but are not limited to:

Developing and implementing logistics plans and procedures to optimize the movement of goods and materials
Monitoring transportation schedules to ensure on-time delivery of goods and materials
Managing logistics data including transportation costs, shipping schedules, and delivery times
Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to coordinate the movement of goods and materials
Identifying and resolving logistics problems to ensure timely deliveries
Evaluating logistics performance to identify areas for improvement
Communicating logistics information to customers and internal stakeholders
Developing and maintaining relationships with transportation providers, customers, and other stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
Cooperating with other departments to align logistics with enterprise procedures and systems
Studying the financial impact of proposed logistics changes
Developing processes and specifications for various logistic procedures
Leading logistics functions including quality control, transportation, warehouse operations
Applying client objectives for personalized service and performance metrics
Discussing with clients and vendors to enhance supply chain sustainability and efficiency
Sustaining documentation, metrics, training records, and process confirmation
Designing and implementing improvements to logistic activities
Answering issues related to shipments, customer satisfaction, and logistic planning
Proposing modern methodologies for improved efficiency
Providing cargo conveyance data using technological shipping systems
Monitoring and coordinating logistics professionals
Advocating for best shipping practices and rates
Providing comprehensive logistics support
Coordinating ad hoc supply requests and inventory management
Tracking supply items and making suggestions for restocking
Facilitating supply orders and pick-ups
Communicating with personnel as a centralized point of contact for logistics
Performing equipment and material movements as needed
Responding to customer and client inquiries
Completing additional tasks as instructed

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a related field
Proficiency in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Reliable and diligent work ethic

Requirement: Top Secret Security Clearance
