    POSITION FEATURES:

    About this role: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Dialysis Clinic at Fresenius Medical Care, you'll be part of a tight-knit team responsible for creating unique care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients with end stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease. Our clinic RNs form strong bonds with patients, their families, and fellow team members.

    How you grow and advance: Joining as a Dialysis RN, you will be enrolled in our Nephrology Nurse Advancement Program (NNAP) to enhance your career. This program focuses on developing clinical leadership skills, increasing career satisfaction, sharing expertise, and getting recognition for your experience and knowledge.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities
    • Coordinate patient care and perform assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations
    • Provide education to patients and families, administer medications, and assist in emergency situations
    • Ensure correct laboratory procedures, collaborate on patient care plans, and make referrals to specialists
    • Complete necessary requirements for program advancement

    EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
    • Current state licensure and CPR BLS Certification
    • Meet practice requirements in the state of employment

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    • Qualities: compassion, collaboration, reliability
    • Experience as a RN and hemodialysis experience are preferred
    • Successfully pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Heavy lifting, patient assistance, standing for prolonged periods
    • Ability to move equipment, exposure to infectious materials
    • Interact with patients and healthcare staff, potential travel required
