    POSITION TITLE: Program Management Specialist

    LOCATION: HOPE Health and Wellness Center

    REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer

    EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field required.

    WORK EXPERIENCE: 2 – 5 years of experience working in a community setting preferred. Project management experience preferred.

    SALARY RANGE: DOE

    FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-exempt starting with potential for Salary/Exempt

    POSITION TYPE: Part-Time starting with the potential for Full-Time employment

    LANGUAGE: English and Bilingual (Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc.) preferred. Languages from the Asia continent is preferred.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Program Management Specialist is responsible ensuring successful operations of the Hogg Communities of Care project which will analyze identify and report on Asian/Asian-American children and their communities' health needs. Working with the AAHC steering committee on health-related topics, the project manager serves as the administrator in support of the project's assessment and initiatives and will ensure that deliverables are met and money is used appropriately.

    MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide direct support to interns, volunteers, community partners, and other staff. Receive directions from AAHC's Steering Committee and AAHC leadership;
    • Help interns organize community engagement sessions to continue promoting wellness;
    • Identify present findings of AAAA assessments at conferences and coordinate to complete at least one publication in an index-PubMed journal or public health journal;
    • Steer head AAAA bimonthly and quarterly meetings with partners and funder to coordinate and report on activities;
    • Help recruit interns for community activities in year 6 of AAAAs;
    • Participate in advocacy group from the funder;
    • Develop partnerships and collaborations to plan and execute interventions to promote better health with community partners;
    • Coordinate town halls to report to the Asian/Asian-American communities about the state of health needs. Produce and disseminate documents relevant to the work to clinical staff, organizational partners and the public;
    • Coordinate provider education on Asian/Asian-American health needs and cultural sensitivity;
    • Coordinate project evaluation and reporting efforts;
    • Perform other duties as assigned/needed to ensure the success of the project;
    • Understand program objectives, information and ideas presented and delineates plans to achieve deliverables in a specific measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely manner to assist the program and its goals;
    • Manage and maintain program-relevant information and documentation needed from program conception to completion as well as maintaining regulatory and milestone (financial) records as required for the program;
    • Ability to travel to satellite sites and/or off-site locations for support/assignments, events or training as needed;
    • Attend on-site/off-site community engagement activities and on-site/off-site clinic events as needed;
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support HOPE Clinic's Mission, Vision and Values.
    Requirements:

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2 – 5 years of experience working in a community setting;
    • Knowledge of Asian/Asian-American cultures, children development and community based participatory research methodology;
    • Experience with developing and implementing surveys and needs assessments in collaboration with teams and partners;
    • Understand local culture, context, and politics;
    • Knowledge of and experience in developing professional development offerings;
    • Ability to foster and effectively partner in collaborative community efforts;
    • Ability to effectively communicate with children and parents, including translating complex topics into understandable messaging;
    • Assist with budget monitoring and financial reporting;
    • Ability to facilitate groups while working independently;
    • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite;
    • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills;
    • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities;
    • Proficient command of English.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor degree in Behavioral Health, Public Health, social services, or related field required.

    OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

    • Community organizing experience;
    • Bicultural skills;
    • Organization skills;
    • Ability to interpret and disseminate data and research;
    • Must have good transportation and a valid Texas Driver's license.
