    Business Development Manager – Mobile Credentials

    Allegion is a security industry leader at the forefront of credential innovation with NFC wallet-based solutions deployed at many colleges and universities. The Business Development Manager – Mobile Credentials will be responsible to develop and execute a credential sales strategy for Schlage Mobile Access utilizing Schlage's credential innovation portfolio and roadmap positioned to drive the adoption of Schlage's credential offering, intelligent lock hardware, and card reader portfolio among targeted higher education, commercial, and multi-family vertical end user customers. Schlage Mobile Access encompasses both BLE and NFC technology with this role's focus being heavily weighted to NFC. This position will leverage Schlage's partnership with Apple and Google for NFC wallet-based credential solutions (Student ID, Employee Badge, Resident Key).

    The person hired will collaborate with both Allegion RSO field sales personnel as well as channel partners (PACS, Identity Mgmt Software, and System Integrators) to identify end user prospects across multiple verticals, build an end user pipeline and manage to "win" status.

    The role also includes strategy development and execution building an ecosystem of third-party partners and solutions extending MIFARE DESfire, BLE and NFC credential utility beyond the door and into an end user's enterprise. Cross functional engagement between sales, product management, and engineering teams ensuring Schlage hardware interoperability with Schlage credentials and credentials developed by others (where aligned) is strategic to this role.

    What You Will Do:

    Strategic Responsibilities

    NFC Mobile and Credential Innovation

  • Development of an NFC mobile wallet pipeline aligned with Schlage's Apple and Google partnerships and the deployment into the commercial, multi-family, and higher education verticals.
  • Immersion in Schlage's credential innovation strategy and portfolio with resulting ability to lead end user and channel qualifying dialog, prospect identification and deliver end user adoption.
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions and coordinate with technology and hardware subject matter experts when necessary.
  • Strong collaborative selling skills. experience and willingness to engage with Allegion's RSO personnel for local prospect identification, sales collaboration and pipeline development.
  • 3rd Party Hardware and Eco-System Development

  • Strategy and tactical execution development of an eco-system of third-party software and hardware partners extending credential utility beyond the door opening enabling Strong Authentication, Point-of-Sale, Secure Print and other applications interoperable with Schlage credential technologies enabling an end user to meet 100% use case requirements.
  • Identify Allegion solution gaps and prospect third-party solution providers to align with Allegion credential technologies building out our credential interoperability eco-system.
  • Re-engage Allegion legacy technology alliance members and evaluate current relationship and business opportunities.
  • Leverage third party hardware partners installed base of low frequency or prox credentials and develop plan with RSO sales teams as well as partner's channel to target for high-frequency credential/reader migration.
  • What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent Technical degree preferred
  • Energy, Hustle and Enthusiasm – A "can-do" work ethic and willingness to engage and lead among peers, channel and end user customers.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the access control market either working as an integrator, access control OEM or end user customer.
  • Experience with or knowledge of NFC and BLE Mobile credentials
  • Experience with Apple's IoS platform as well as Google's Android platform
  • High Frequency (smart card) credential experience; NXP's MIFARE DESfire and HID's iClass, iClass SE and SEOS credentials
  • Experience with 3rd Party hardware/software applications including POS, Secure Print, Logical Access Control Applications, and Identity management solutions.
  • Ability to think strategically and problem solve with entrepreneurial commitment to achieving goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Travel up to 60%
  • Business and account plan experience
  • Candidate must live within the US near a large metro airport.

  • Compensation : This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $170,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
