- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, reports, and schedules in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to ensure integrity of financial information.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff, including training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support business initiatives and resolve accounting-related issues.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits, reviews, and tax filings.
- Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and recommend changes as needed.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP).
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
