    Description

    Position:
    Transylvania County Schools seeks a Preschool Program Coordinator.

    The Preschool Program Coordinator is responsible for the operation and administration of the preschool-age classrooms within TCS, including licensure of classrooms, assisting with grant applications, and all directly related issues involving the preschool.

    The Preschool Program Coordinator is committed to sustaining a high-quality child care program that values partnerships between families and staff.

    The Preschool Program Coordinator creates an open and honest working environment that inspires professionalism and rewards creative, innovative teaching.

    In addition, the coordinator will build sustainable relationships with the community as they will also be responsible for Child Find for TCS.


    Job Summary:
    Position is available August 1, 2024 for Position is full-time and includes employment benefits; 11-month employment term. State teacher salary schedule plus applicable local salary supplement.


    Qualifications:


    Applicants for the positions must hold or be eligible to hold NC licensure in area Special Education, General Curriculum) and/or 014 (Birth through Kindergarten) and must be "highly qualified" in the license area pursuant to federal No Child Left Behind regulations.
