- Proposal development assistance, including solution proposals supporting high-level scope of work for potential services delivered
- Opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, strategy, and expectation setting
- Preparation of bi-annual research of top competitors and delivery of competitive updates both internally and cross-functionally of key trends and emerging needs
- Authoring and/or review of technical notes, when required, that are appropriate for viewing by both prospects and existing customers
- Proactive communication of both challenges and opportunities to Sales Management as well as key internal partners such as Product Management, Marketing, and Solutions Engineering
- Creation of technical architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, process flows, and integration specifications
- Establishment and maintenance of excellent working relationships with other i2c departments, which are key to i2c success
- With 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering with experience in financial technology, core banking, and payment solutions; with an understanding of Software as a Solution based services.
- Passionate listening & problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and translate business needs into technical requirements
- Ability to rapidly learn, demonstrate, and communicate product knowledge
- Sound understanding of payment industry technologies, software, and systems
- Experience with credit, debit, prepaid, and other payment products
- Experience with issuing, processing, and acquiring
- Experience with fraud prevention and risk management
- Experience with regulatory compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Degree in Technology subject, preferable Software Engineering, Information Systems and Technology

Role Description
The Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by supporting sales executives and client account managers in solution selling. This position involves understanding customer requirements, demonstrating product capabilities, and aligning them with the organization's offerings. The Sales Engineer combines technical expertise with effective communication skills to win new business and maintain strong client relationships. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for engaging with new prospects, helping to respond to inbound opportunities, and working closely with sales / account executives to support customer growth needs. The Sales Engineer will also be responsible for identifying potential new applications / solutions of i2c technology within existing accounts to support their business success and growth beyond the initial launch opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the banking and payment processing industries, as well as experience in sales and business development. The Sales Engineer will also need to be able to articulate the technical merits of i2c products and solutions, as well as win the trust of product and technology teams of organizations seeking their services.
