ABOUT THE POSITION:
This position is for a 9-month clinical assistant or clinical associate professor who actively participates in activities and tactics that enhance the mission and vision of the College of Nursing, including teaching, service, and scholarship.
A focus on recruitment and retention of undergraduate and graduate students is required. The candidate should have experience in medical-surgical nursing with expertise in nursing education. An earned doctoral degree (DNP, EdD, or PhD) is required for this position.ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
The College of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The college offers pre-licensure BSN, accelerated BSN, ADN to BSN, ADN to MSN, MSN tracks in nursing administration, education, and nurse practitioner tracks in family and adult-gerontological acute care, post-graduate certificates, and DNP programs.
The College of Nursing also offers a Joint Nursing Science PhD program with the University of Alabama. The college's total fall 2022 enrollment was just under 1,000 students across the degree programs. Extensive distance education programs are offered. The College of Nursing currently cooperates with more than 1300 sites for clinical education.
