    Duties

    Growing Places is a nature based non-profit looking for an energetic, reliable and caring person to join our team Our teachers provide engaging experiences that help grow the whole child. We are willing to train the right person, including providing college courses Duties include:
    • Create an environment that fosters cooperation, communication and collaboration
    • Consider the individual child and their uniqueness in program and curriculum planning
    • Use the outdoors as an extension to the classroom
    • Plan intentional, child-inspired curriculum
    • Ensure all classroom activities are developmentally appropriate and enhance social, physical and intellectual well-being of the children enrolled
    • Communicate directly with the Program Director
    • Use appropriate and responsive language and positive behavior guidance; and work with teacher assistants to do the same to maintain consistency with children, staff and parents
    Requirements

    Highschool Diploma
    Positive, nurturing demeanor
    Willing to be CPR/First Aid certified
    Willing to participate in on the job training including college courses
    Pass a background check

    Nice To Haves

    9 ECE credits or Associates Degree
    CPR/First Aid certification
