HU is one of eleven universities of excellence in Germany.The Interdisciplinary Center (IZ) GreenCompute aims to research, develop, manage, and communicate energy-saving measures in large-scale computing and HPC at Humboldt University in Berlin.
An essential aspect of the IZ is the interdisciplinary collaboration between experts in data analysis or high-performance computing and researchers from other disciplines who rely on such services for their scientific work.
The center will also draw on a broad network of other institutions and initiatives that also deal with the ever-increasing energy demand of digital research methods.
The IZ is currently seeking a specialist to join their team as soon as possible, who enjoys researching, implementing, and operating HPC technologies (e.g., Blazar, Azimuth, Jupyter HUB) and has knowledge of virtualization solutions (OpenStack, Kubernetes, KVM virtualization).
The position will be embedded in the HPC team of the Computer and Media Service (CMS) at Humboldt University in Berlin.
