- You will implement engineering assessments, projects and standard operating procedures for continuous maintenance with corrosion structural systems and corrosion programs and issues impacting surface ships during their acquisition life cycle.
- You will plan, manage and coordinate various engineering programs with a focus on corrosion structural systems and corrosion programs.
- You will evaluate numerous systems technical requirements and analyze other pertinent factors affecting surface ship Expected Service Life (ESL) and systems performance.
- You will conduct of highly detailed technical inspections; prepare and review summary reports on inspections results.
- You will make recommendations for program improvements, corrective actions, periodicity changes and or the establishment, increased elimination, or modification of Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) tasks, routines and requirements.
- You will conduct and improve engineering, integration and control procedures for ship availabilities.
- You will review completed projects for engineering data adequacy and completeness; has responsibility and authority to accept, emend, or reject the project.
- You will develop processes for the Regional and Continuous Maintenance Programs in accordance with Fleet Forces Command Instructions.
- You will review and analyze data to determine the need for changes in the CMP and Class Standard Work Templates (CSWT) or directed repair task requirements

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band/grade, NH-02 (GS-11), in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer managing engineering corrosion control programs to plan maintenance schedules for ship repair and modernization
