- Contributes to the software process from conception to final release. Contribute to planning, budgeting, and design and implementation of applications, systems, and components in support of new Universal Creative work. Participate in hardware, network, and/or electronic architecture and technical reviews for various teams for inputs and to provide guidance for areas of risk or scope gaps. Works with Engineering & Safety, Facility & Construction team and contractors to ensure a clear line of communication regarding installation, system integration, test, and adjust activities.
- Assists with research and design systems, develop software specifications and scope of work documentation that will support the team.
- Develops software. Codes, develops, installs, and/or tests software systems, including mockups and proof-of-concepts.
- Assists team in managing vendors through the process of bidding, designing, manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, start up, and commissioning of software systems. Contributes modifications to software systems as required based upon design and field conditions. Drive technical improvements across all scopes.
- Participate with software development teams (external and internal). Facilitate input from multiple teams including operations and technical teams to create standardized solutions for integration of systems. Facilitate communication between teams for clear delineation of scope for each responsible individual and vendor.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest in technology and industry trends and introduce new technology concepts. Particularly as it relates to protecting the intellectually property associated with the implementation of emerging technologies.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the discovery, development and delivery of software applications. Provides technical input, inclusive of budget and schedule, for an attraction or attractions under an area of responsibility. This role is responsible for defining, developing, licensing, purchasing, integrating, testing, analyzing and/or delivering advanced technology software for the next generation of Universal attractions and systems. To achieve these responsibilities, they are expected to perform technical writing, creating specifications, vendor selection, vendor management and coordination with internal and external teams. This creative technologist will identify disruptive innovation and be charged with the technical product delivery across attraction, projects and platforms for example artificial intelligence, digital twins, interactives or mixed reality.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in applicable technical field required or equivalent demonstrated skill and experience, Advanced Degree or equivalent demonstrated skill and experience
EXPERIENCE:
0-1 years' experience in direct theme park specific technical/engineering roles preferred or similar experience in related technical field.
