Job Title:Brand Buyer

Reports to:CNRG Brand Supply Chain Director

Summary

The Brand Buyer role supports store operations through the selection and management of select
goods and products that are sold within specific CNRG locations. They will also help the
specified CNRG Brand(s) manage its in-store inventory by facilitating reporting and
communication to keep the brand operations team informed. The Brand Buyer will be a key link
between the CNRG Merchant Militia, Category Managers, and Store Operations to facilitate
dialogue between these departments to maximize financial results and efficiency. Additionally,
the Brand Buyer will participate in strategic business initiatives, and contribute to the company's
overall growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
● Partner with the replenishment buyer and operations team to purchase select products that
maximizes the Brand(s) sales and profit results, as well as supporting the brand identity.
● Utilize internal reporting systems to identify, forecast and plan for seasonal purchases of
non replenishment or promotional products.
● Identify sales and margin trends by analyzing weekly and monthly reporting, and
communicating ideas that would help sustain positive trends or correct offsetting ones.
● Partner with approved CNRG vendors to negotiate product cost, service level issues, and
product knowledge support.
● Aid in identifying opportunities for product assortment reviews, and help prepare any
reporting needed to support the review process.
● Partner with the Brand(s) marketing team in the product selection and pricing process to
support advertising and event promotions, as well as developing reporting to analyze the
sales and profit results.
● Assist local and CNRG Supply chain teams to maintain competitive pricing on core
products, as well as, helping develop promotional pricing and exit strategies for seasonal
and promotional goods.
● Participate in any strategic business planning or budgeting process, to include data
analyzation and report creation.
● Attend select trade shows as required that would help identify new products, vendors and
market trends to support sales and profit goals.
● Help manage and control the flow and content of resource center requests submitted to
the Merchant Militia for your Brand(s).

Qualifications
College degree or equivalent experience in the retail industry required. Multi store and Retail
Hardware experience is preferred, but not required. Must possess strong Computer skills
including proficiency in MS Office Suite, and Google Suite. Must have strong written and oral
communication skills. Must be customer service-oriented and team-oriented. Must have
knowledge of retail procurement and be able to evaluate and interpret statistical and numerical
data effectively. Must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses
of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Must be able to work a flexible
schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
