    School Case Manager - SPEED SEJA 802 (Chicago Heights, IL)

    Are you passionate about advocating for students with disabilities?

    SPEED SEJA 802 in Chicago Heights, IL is seeking a dedicated School Case Manager to join our team This is a temporary, on-site position with a start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and an end date of May 24th, 2024. We offer 35 hours per week and a collaborative, supportive work environment.

    In this role, you will:

    • Collaborate with teachers, social workers, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
    • Facilitate meetings, gather information, and maintain accurate case documentation.
    • Monitor student progress, identify needs, and provide ongoing support services.
    • Advocate for students' rights and ensure they receive appropriate educational services.
    • Connect families with community resources and support systems.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have an active LBS1 endorsement and a PEL (Public Educator License) in the state of Illinois.
    • Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations (IDEA, IEP development process).
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize workload.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
