    Benefits to You

    • We cover 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.
    • This position offers an hourly rate equivalent to $39.05.
    • Benefits include 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation leaves, along with other optional insurances and flexible spending plans.
    • Qualified bilingual individuals can receive a 5% allowance if they pass a skills test for languages such as ASL.
    • New OJD employees can enjoy the first two steps of the salary range, with potential eligibility for a 5% annual increase.

    Position Highlights

    The Oregon Judicial Department is currently seeking a Criminal Arraignments Specialist (Court Operations Specialist).

    In this role, you will address complex inquiries from court staff, private sector agencies, and the public relating to criminal arraignments. Responsibilities include creating business process documents, templates, and forms, ensuring they reflect recent legislative changes, training and guiding courtroom clerks, and conducting performance evaluations for compliance.

    You will handle data entry in the court's case management system, review recordings and documents for accuracy, schedule hearings, process filings, and manage paperwork for criminal and contempt cases. Additionally, you'll coordinate in-custody defendant transports, conduct real-time data entry during proceedings, schedule court dockets and appearances, provide guidance on corrections, and manage sensitive information.

    Tasks may be adjusted based on workload needs, and we welcome candidates passionate about these responsibilities.

    Working Conditions

    • This is a full-time role with a schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Overtime compensation is available for hours exceeding 40 per workweek.
    • Occasional after-hours or overtime work might be necessary.
    • Frequent interaction with individuals from diverse backgrounds and challenging circumstances.
    • Potential exposure to high-stress situations and confidential information.
    • Fast-paced environment with prolonged sitting or standing periods.
    • Required use of office equipment like phones, computers, printers, and scanners.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    Multnomah Circuit Court does not provide parking for staff, but flexible spending accounts can reimburse parking or transportation costs up to a set amount monthly. A criminal background check is mandatory for finalists, and reference checks will be conducted. You must confirm your eligibility to work in the U.S. within three days of hire through the required process.
