    The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting basic, applied, and advanced research aimed at enhancing warfighter decision-making processes and persistent situation awareness for integrated Air Force operations across five

    Technical Areas:
    Battlespace Acoustics
    Supervisory Control and Cognition
    Aerospace Physiology
    Battlespace Visualization
    Applied Neuroscience As a Senior Scientist, your responsibilities will include:


    • Conducting groundbreaking research in one or more of the specified Technical Areas, leveraging advanced behavioral and neurophysiological techniques to address complex challenges.
    • Designing, developing, and evaluating innovative solutions, such as advanced auditory/multisensory interface technologies, wearable systems, and human-machine interaction tools.
    • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate research findings into practical applications, ensuring alignment with the mission objectives of the AFRL/HPW/RHC contract.
    • Leading and contributing to live, virtual, and constructive testing efforts to validate research outcomes and enhance mission performance.
    • Providing expert guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and innovation

    Required Qualifications:

    • Masters Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Neuroscience, Psychology, Engineering, Physiology) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development.
    • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the Technical Areas outlined by the customer, with a proven track record of scientific publications and successful project execution.
    • Strong proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation, utilizing a variety of tools and methodologies.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience working in a classified environment and a willingness to obtain necessary security clearances as required

    Desired Qualifications:

    • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Neuroscience, Psychology, Engineering, Physiology) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development.
    • Prior experience with defense-related research projects or collaborations within the aerospace and defense industry.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices governing human subjects research and experimentation.
    • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex research initiatives from conception to implementation
