Established non-profit is seeking a Director of Finance to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, contracts, financial planning, and forecasting. The Director of Finance will collaborate closely with senior leadership and offers a great opportunity to give back to the community in a meaningful way. This position offers a great benefits package
Main Responsibilities Include:
· Maintain effective accounting and finance operations, including A/P, A/R, cash flow, investments, monthly/quarterly/annual close of accounting, and financial records.
· Responsible for various contracts invoicing process, budgeting, and communication with outside funders.
· Develop and maintain effective financial/accounting policies, processes, and internal controls in accordance with applicable laws and GAAP.
· Maintain financial data and tracking spending including gifts, donations, and grant receipts.
· Supervise petty cash.
· Must be comfortable with front facing positions, such as presenting at board meetings and meeting with contractors as needed.
· Manage the annual audit process.
· Ensure annual filings are done accurately and on time.
Ideal qualifications:
· BS/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant field is preferred.
· Must have at least 2 years' experience in accounting management in a non-profit organization.
· Management experience and ability to communicate effectively.
