The General Accounting Manager will manage and help establish the day-to-day functions related to general accounting, manage the month-end cycle, analyzing key accounts and reporting results.

Location:
The person selected for this position will be required to be located within or near the Memphis Metropolitan Area where the plant will be located (Marshall County, MS).
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day accounting functions including general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, taxes and payrollEnsure timely and accurate competition of analytical reportsEnsure proper reporting of fixed assets and capital projectsProvide support for the financial analyst with monthly overhead forecast including variance analysisManage the month-end and year-end cycles by coordinating workflow, analyzing key accounts and reporting results.
Manage Balance Sheet Reviews.
Supervise and support the General Accounting Group.
Initiate process improvements and assist with special projects.
Maintain general knowledge of regulatory pronouncements and ensures company complianceOversee internal control program
Qualifications:
BS/BA Accounting Degree and 8 + years of relevant accounting experience.
CPA Required.
MBA preferred.
Strong supervisory experience and leadershipStrong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsBig 4 public accosting experience highly preferredMust be comfortable making oral presentations to peers and management.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel.Strong organizational skills required to manage various projects.
Deadline-driven and self-motivated.
SAP Experience a plusManufacturing experience desired.
